Roads to Change

Roads to Change

Helping adults in the justice system chart a new course through creativity.

Overview

Roads to Change is our flagship programme for adults working towards positive outcomes in their lives. It can be offered as part of a community sentence, in partnership with justice social work departments, police authorities and local councils.

Who It's For

Adults involved in, or at risk of involvement with, the justice system — including people serving community sentences, those on supervision orders, and individuals seeking to move away from offending behaviour.

What It Involves

Over 12 weeks, participants work with our experienced creative facilitators using film, theatre and performance to explore their own experiences and aspirations. All sessions are delivered within our unique Anonymous Space — participants use first names only and choose what of their personal story to share.

Outcomes

  • Increased self-esteem and confidence
  • Improved communication and social skills
  • Reduced likelihood of reoffending
  • Strengthened community connections
  • New perspectives on personal narrative and identity

Previous Partners

  • East Ayrshire Council
  • Glasgow City Council
  • Police Scotland
  • Scottish Prison Service
"Roads to Change gave me a way to talk about my life I'd never had before. I didn't expect to get anything from it — but it changed how I see myself."
