Recovering Voices

Recovering Voices

Supporting recovery through the transformative power of creative expression.

Overview

Recovering Voices is designed to support participants in residential and community alcohol and drug recovery programmes. Working alongside recovery services, we use creativity to help people find and use their own voice — often for the first time.

Who It's For

People in residential or community-based alcohol and drug recovery programmes, in partnership with recovery services, housing associations, NHS and third-sector providers.

What It Involves

The 12-week programme uses spoken word, music, movement and storytelling to help participants process their experiences and build resilience. Our Anonymous Space approach means participants can explore difficult material safely, without pressure to disclose personal details.

Outcomes

  • Enhanced confidence and self-expression
  • Stronger peer support networks within recovery communities
  • Improved mental health and wellbeing
  • New creative skills that support ongoing recovery
  • Reduced social isolation

Previous Partners
